How to: Find Accountability with iTrackBites

Hi friends! Coach Stefanie here!

When I first lost weight several years ago, one of keys to my success was the group of friends and fellow weight losers that I met at my meetings. Going to the meeting helped me stay accountable and keep going when it got tough. However, I have since learned that I got extremely lucky with my situation as I was never able to find another group setting that truly felt comfortable. Now that I do iTrackBites, I had to learn other ways of staying connected and accountable to myself. Thankfully there are a lot of things offered to help me with that. Staying immersed in the iTrackBites community has helped me realize I’m not alone in my struggles (and successes). I’ve also gotten to try some fantastic recipes.

Here are a few of my favorite things to help me stay connected:

  1. The iTrackBites community on the App
  2. The iTrackBites community on Facebook
  3. The iTrackBites weekly Facebook Live meeting
  4. The iTrackBites podcast
  5. The iTrackBites blog
  6. The iTrackBites ambassadors on Instagram

The iTrackBites community on the App

Everybody can read posts in the community on the app but only pro members can comment. You can find the community by clicking on the people icon in the bottom right corner. In the community, people share their milestones and transformations which is incredibly inspiring to me. You can also share whole recipes with others and I have discovered some great ones! And of course you can ask and answer questions. The community also has subgroups so you can connect with people on similar plans and journeys as yourself.

The iTrackBites groups on Facebook

While these groups are run by fellow coaches they are not official. However, that doesn’t mean that they lack information and motivation. I have found the posts to center more around questions and answers but Facebook has a great option for searching posts that I find helpful. Many of the groups also have the guides and additional plan information easily accessible.

The iTrackBites weekly meeting

I just stumbled across this gem a few weeks ago but I have truly enjoyed it since I found it. Each Tuesday evening the amazing Jordan hosts a weekly meeting which is broadcast live on the official ITrackBites Facebook page. Each week he interviews a new guest on their weight loss journey. It’s a great way to get to know some of the ITrackBites ambassadors and coaches, as well as members and more about their journey.

The iTrackBites podcast

This is a newer thing but I love it. I have a fairly long commute to work so I like listening to podcasts or audiobooks on my way to and from work. Recently I started listening to Jordan’s podcasts. Some of them are older versions of the weekly meetings I missed but I think others are new material. Listening to it frequently really helps me make my weight loss a focus everyday.

The iTrackBites blog

I am sure I don’t have to tell you much about the blog since you’re already here reading it. But I have the blog open in a permanent tab on my phone and whenever I have some downtime I like checking the new posts. They do a great job of incorporating different voices and opinions which makes the blog truly unique to me.

The iTrackBites ambassadors on Instagram

I’m not gonna lie, I love seeing good recipes and knowing what others eat. Even if I would never eat the same thing it’s still interesting to see the different things people eat while losing weight. It truly shows how flexible the plan is and I get great recipe ideas from there. It is also easy to scroll through the pictures and success stories and feel inspired to keep going. I follow a lot of the ambassadors as well as the official ITrackBites Instagram. In addition, I follow others posting healthy and weight loss focused recipes. There are a ton of ways to interact and stay accountable. My best suggestion is to be active and make friends so you can support each other! Surrounding yourself with like minded individuals makes a huge difference especially if those around you in real life (like your family) doesn’t follow the same goal.Happy Friday and Happy Tracking!
