This has been a go to recipe for many years. It’s easy to make and low in bites. You can use beef or ground turkey. I use all grass-fed beef, so it’s very lean and works very well in this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 Onion
  • 1 lb. Grass fed ground beef
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. Chili powder
  • 2 tbsp. Cumin
  • 2 tbsp. Sugar alternative
  • 2 tbsp. Garlic powder
  • 1 1/4 tsp. Salt
  • 30 oz. Canned diced tomatoes
  • 32 oz. Chili beans
  • 16 oz. Canned tomato sauce

Optional toppings:

Sour cream

Shredded cheese

Directions

  1. Brown 1 lb. hamburger, drain, and add to Instant Pot or crock pot.
  2. Dice 1 onion and add to hamburger.
  3. Drain and add diced tomatoes and chili beans.
  4. Add tomato sauce and seasonings and broth. Mix well.
  5. Set Instant Pot for 10 minutes and do a 10 minute natural release or cook in a crockpot for 5-6 hours on low.
  6. Serve with your favorite toppings!
