1lb ground beef
1 can of refrigerated biscuit dough (cut into 1/4 pieces)
1.5 cups cheddar cheese
1 red onion (cut in half- dice one half and thinly slice the other)
2 tomatoes (diced)
1 Serrano pepper (thinly sliced)
A spritz of Avocado oil
1 Tbs steak seasoning
Directions
Begin by adding a drizzle of avocado oil to a skillet. Add the diced peppers and onions to the pan and sauté until the onions achieve translucency.
Next, add the ground beef and thoroughly combine.
Once the meat has browned, incorporate the steak seasoning and mix well.
In a 9x13 baking dish, layer half of the biscuit dough pieces, one-third of the remaining onions, and one-third of the tomatoes.
Next, pour the meat mixture over the filling. Top with one-third of the remaining tomatoes and onions. Sprinkle with one cup of shredded cheese.
Finally, arrange the remaining tomatoes, onions, and biscuit dough pieces on top. Gently mix everything together.
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Bake for 15 minutes. Then, add the remaining cheese and return to the oven until the biscuits are golden brown and the cheese has melted.
