As the turning over of a new year have come and gone, some of us are still searching for a new diet or weight loss plan. Let me be the first to say that it is OKAY to not have it figured out yet. Between Instagram, Pinterest, and all of the crazy television ads circulating right now, it's easy to feel "behind the eight-ball" on a 2021 health plan. Maybe you haven't even chosen one yet? Or maybe you've already started and casually exited from one or two already? Either way- it's okay.A true health and wellness journey is just that- a journey. There are no rights or wrongs in timing. In order to best assist in your diet decision making process, today I'm sharing my weight loss plan of choice (Conquer Cravings), and the answers to its most frequently asked questions.
Conquer Cravings is a great plan for anyone wanting a simple, no frills approach to tracking. Most everything, except some non-starchy vegetables are counted. It doesn't have a large zero bite list like the other plans (fruit, eggs, chicken, yogurt etc are all counted). Nothing is heavily scored higher or lower due to any one component like sugar. It is a great, balanced little plan.
Portion Control. Because everything is basically weighted the same in calculating a food score, it is up to you to decide what you want to spend your daily Bites on. Since so little is zero, this plan helps focus you keeping within your daily targets by controlling your serving sizes at each meal.
Absolutely, though it will be very important to use your Weeklies on this plan if pregnant. Turning on Calories as a Secondary Metric will help ensure you are eating the right amount for your growing needs.
Yes. Since fruits and carbohydrates are counted on this plan which is what most diabetics need to monitor, this plan works well to track those items. As always though, your food choices will dictate your success and make sure you have discussed with your medical team what they want to be your daily goals.
Sacrifice: honestly, nothing! The great thing about this plan is its inclusiveness. Nothing is off limits - you just moderate your portion sizes and can make anything work!

I love using the Crockpot for easy family meals - set and forget! These Chicken Philly Cheese Steaks are great... (serve on a wrap or in lettuce cups if you want to save points). Or if you want a meatless option - this Mushroom Spinach Stroganoff is very tasty. Substitute fat free sour cream and cream cheese if you like to lower points.Hopefully this Conquer Cravings Q&A gives you a little more insight to my favorite iTrackBites weight loss plan! If you're looking for support in food moderation without sacrificing some of your favorite meals, then this plan might just be perfect for you!Happy Tracking!
